Agile Tools & Scrum Master Utilities
Use one editable wheel to select a standup speaker, retrospective topic, or icebreaker from options you enter.
Meeting Icebreakers
Start your standup, planning, or retrospective with a quick personal check-in. Helps distributed teams stay connected.

Ways to Use a Meeting Wheel
Add names, topics, or prompts that are relevant to your meeting to the wheel. Review the options with the team before using it.
A visible wheel can offer a quick prompt for choosing from a list the team has prepared. It does not ensure equal participation, remove every source of facilitator bias, or replace the facilitator's judgment about how to run a meeting.
How Scrum Masters Use These Tools
Daily Standup Rotation
Spin to choose a starting speaker from the list. The same person can be selected again unless you remove that entry.
Retrospective Focus Areas
Spin to choose one retrospective category from the list. The facilitator sets the time and decides how to cover other topics.
Meeting Icebreakers
Choose a question from a prepared list to use as an optional meeting prompt.
Group Assignments
This wheel selects one entry at a time; it does not generate pairs. Use the Team Randomizer when you need to split a participant list into groups.
How This Wheel Works
- ✓Enter Your Own Options: Add names or discussion topics directly to the wheel. It does not import a board or roster from a project-management service.
- ✓Screen Sharing Ready: Display the wheel on a screen-sharing call so participants can view the entries and result.
- ✓Customizable Content: Edit default options to match your team's specific terminology, inside jokes, or focus areas.
- ✓Visible Selection: Spin to display one of the current entries. Remove a selected entry before another spin when you want to avoid that slot repeating.
Use Cases Beyond Agile
- •All-Hands Meetings: Choose a starting speaker or a prompt from the list your team enters.
- •Workshop Facilitation: Choose a discussion prompt or a starting presentation slot from your list.
- •Training Sessions: Choose a starting participant or discussion prompt from the list you enter.
- •Team Activities: Use a list of activities or prompts to choose what the group discusses next.
- •Innovation Time: Choose one idea or discussion prompt from a list prepared for the session.
Best Practices for Facilitators
Display the list: Share your screen when you want participants to see the entries and displayed result.
Set a time limit: Decide how long to use a prompt before the meeting, and move on when that time is up.
Review the list: Check that the current names or topics match the meeting before each spin.
